ICP Forests and the European National Forest Inventory Network (ENFIN), the two pioneers for pan-European forest monitoring, play a crucial role in the proposed governance structure of a future European Forest Monitoring System (EFMS), according to a PathFinder policy brief.

Stefan Fleck, Arthur Gessler, Marco Ferretti and Michèle Kaennel Dobbertin have produced a short text about the EU proposal for a forest monitoring network.


At the IUFRO in Stockholm, some ICP Forests members presented their research and thus contributed to the international discourse on forests and society towards 2050.
