Atmospheric Deposition and Soil Solution

The Atmospheric deposition and soil solution Working Ringtest programme runs every year. The usual procedure is:

• Informing the possible participating labs and NFCs (every summer)
• Online registration of participants (every autumn)
• Distribution of the test samples and invoice (every autumn/ winter)
• Deadline for submitting data (winter)
• Results (spring)
• Re-qualification process completed (spring)
• Re-qualification confirmed

Please note that the submission of monitoring results to the PCC database is only possible if your lab has participated in the ringtest for all submitted parameters. When a lab did not qualify and did not make efforts to improve the data quality, the PCC will send a letter to the NFC informing it that its data may not be used for evaluations at European level.

The ringtest is financed by a participation fee; the preparation of the ring test samples by the participants.
