On 21st November and 22nd November 2019, ICP Forests colleagues met delegates from the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET) in a joint "Workshop on regional impact assessment of atmospheric deposition and air pollution on forest ecosystems" in Niigata, Japan.

Last week, the XXV IUFRO World Congress took place in Curitiba, Brazil.

The chair of ICP Forests, Marco Ferretti, and the PCC would like to express their gratitude to all colleagues of the ICP Forests community that joined and contributed to the 125th Anniversary Congress of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO).

The Programme Co-ordinating Centre of ICP Forests is very happy to announce that Dr Marco Ferretti from the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL has been appointed as new Chairman of ICP Forests by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

The special issue of Forest Ecology and Management, based on papers presented at the conference held in Warsaw in 2012, is now in press.
